Make sure you do a large water change, as near as 100% water change, before adding new livestock, this will help reduce nitrate levels.

We (by we I mean as a family) are very short on money... My parents promised that next Friday we would get fish for the tank. So I am adding 1ppm ammonia on every 3rd day
