Fish Crazy
Hey all! Over the last month I have been treating my corys for some mystery disease. only they have it and it has covered the fins under there bellies. I have been treating it with Paraguard which treats fungal, bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections. well I noticed over the last week the fins have been getting shorter. Is there a disease that does this? I know it is not the ich because it is too large. please help.
Tank size: 10 gallons ( planning to upgrade to 40 gallon in the next year)
pH: 6.5
ammonia:0
nitrite:0
nitrate:20-40
kH:80-120
gH:180+ ( I know it is too high)
tank temp:78 degrees F
Fish Symptoms :skittish, a changing color between green and gray, pectorial fins disappearing and covered in white
Volume and Frequency of water changes:30% water changes every 5 days
Chemical Additives or Media in your tankaraguard, stress coat (to heal fins), and carbon media
Tank inhabitants: A Bristlenose pleco (Male), a jumbo neon tetra, and two emerald corys. Don't scold me I didn't know corys needed to school and I had more tetras when I didn't know about cycling and I know I am overstocked. I'm getting the 40 Gallon to get more corys and tetras.
Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration):I recently lost my snail but they had the disease before his death.
Exposure to chemicals: Paraguard and stresscoat
Please reply. any thoughts accepted.
