Forgot abt the mid- water pygmeaus thingy i said b4..i found out its because of some small kids poking the tank and people staring at them.........Now i plan on getting the pygmeaus. Can i onli get 4 of them??But im afraid my pandas will attack them..

That tank definitely needs more structure: ive found that cories hide less proportionally to the more stuff in their tank: add some plants, definitely some interesting wood pieces would improve the tank and make the cories love you.

Not knowing the size of your tank i couldnt say whether pygmaeus would be able to fit in your tank, however you can be assured that pandas wont attack, they are the most peaceful fish you ever set eyes on.

Hope this helps.

Add a big piece of bogwood. It'll make the tank look beautiful, and the corys will like resting on it. You need some plants, too. The tank is very bottom-heavy, so you need some things to be around the middle and top to make it look balanced.

I don't know much about that other species you talked about. I will tell you that my pandas are very peaceful, but I don't have any other species of cory in my tank. I can't imagine them being mean to the other corys. They will often just associate with the same species and not bother with the others. I have heard that they will sleep together (not breeding, but sleeping) from time to time. :) So I'd say another type of cory wouldn't be a problem, but it's best to get another opinion.

Hi raeburter :)

Your little pandas are looking good!

Corys like java ferns and they will grow into beautiful plants. If you wanted to add another natural plant, you might want to consider one of the taller African Sword plants. Their leaves are high enough that the corys swim around under them like we would walk under a tree, but they add a nice touch of color.

As for the C. pygmaeus, they are great companion fish for the pandas. There is a picture of them with my pandas on this thread:

Do those plants require anything special? I want to get my cories some live plants too.
