I have sold all my convcts...which then gave me the thaught...what to put in a 32 gallon tank? My thaught prcess is as follows:
I dont want convicts.
I dont want guppies.
I hate gouramis.
I want a peaceful tank.
I want to spend a minimal amount of money.

Which then, I came to the conclusion...How about some pretty Julii Corys?
Then, I figured platies are cool...why not them? So I decided on a male and 2 females.
Then I said..."I need a spotlight fish" so I looked no further than 3 angelfish.
My tank (after long, tedious thinking) is going to be beautiful. I have caves and lots of plants. Tell me what you think.

4 Julii Cory Cats
1 Male Platy
2 Female Platy
3 Angelfish

Lovely! Keep it simply, that's my motto.

If you can send us a photo I'd love to see it.

Well, like I said...I ahevnt bought all hte fish yet...but when htey are all happy in there new home...I will post a picture...The tank I think is going to be lovely...Im tried to keep it simple..thank you for the praise on it

sounds great! :D I love angels they are sooo interactive....almost like having a dog...Icould pet mine if I wanted to!

New News:
My dad just gave me a raise in my allowance...turns out im getting another cory cat...

edit: not another cory cat...another female platy

I read that the livebearing fish will provide "frequent live food" for my angels. is that a good thing? if not, should i can the platies? or get all females?

edit: im still gonna get the females and male

I wouldn't suggest platties as a source of good, and if you were to feed them live food that's not a good idea cause when you run out of babies for the angels they'll terrorize the other fish in the tank, not so much of the catfish but of the parents of those platties. Guppies, they breed fast and provide tons of babies, but I think you said you wouldn't want guppies. Maybe feeder guppies, very cheap because of your money sources and good choice in my opinion...

Your tank will be beautiful, AndrewRenard! :D

I can just picture it---graceful angels with brightly colored platties darting about them. How peaceful and lovely.

Do not worry about the platties having young and the angels eating them. This is nature. But if you want to save some platty fry to raise you can do that too by putting the females in a breeding net when they are ready to have their young.

angels just aren't that peaceful........better think of something else!

tanks so much...
my tank has changed lsightly...
3 femlae platies
1 male
5 cory cats
and 2 angels

but thanks ill have a pic within the next few weeks....hoprefully it works

:fish: Your tank is sounding great!

After the tank has been set up for a while...and the algae starts to grow, why not consider a small plec...like a bristle-nosed plec, or a couple of clown plecs.

Good luck! :D

my tnak doesnt grow algae....its not in the sun and i have my corys...and i also have aprefectly balanced tanks...i mihgt try some Ottocinclus catfish......

I don't see what you guys see in platties, they look like an ugly sick Goldfish.. What am I missing? -_-
Well I don't know - I think corys look like aliens (and not aliens for my home planet, I can tell you! ). I can't stand things with exoskeletons.

At least platies look like fish.
