My cichlid has a bulging eye

My new cichlid I bought yesterday was perfectly fine. This am I turned on the tank light and his one eye is huge and it has a white film on it. What is it? What can I do?

If the eye is bulging it's popeye what are your water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate,and ph.

iv just brought a cory becus i felt sorry for it, it also has some thing wrong with its eye its kinda blue around the top edge and has a white film on its eye and is swollen at the bottem i just wondered if its the same kinda thing?

Cloudy eye can be due to a number of reasons, bad water quality and stress, just do a few daily water changes to see if that helps and maybe add some melafix to the tank, good luck.
