My catfish has bright green poo

One of my bristlenose catfish is looking a bit fat, he's the dominant one of the 2 and tends to hog most of the food. I've cut back on what I put in the tank but it's made no difference so I'm cutting out pellets altogether for a while until he's back to his slender best.

However, my girlfriend was watching the tank today and noticed his brightly coloured poo. It's about as green as the plants in the tank. Is it a sign of illness or disease? Is it his diet? Should I worry about it?

The color of the fishes poo is influenced by what it eats. If they eat a lot of veggie matter, it would make sense if their poo was green. If they ate meat then it would make sense if their poo was darker.
