My Cat, Vanilla

Hey everyone, thought I might share with you all my cat vanilla.He is about 2yrs old and is a pure american rag doll. He has had to have surgery on his back leg because he fractured his hip. We think cause of a car or a neighbour hurt him Hope you like the pics of him anyway. Will post up pics of my dog later.

He likes my computer, when im on here

He's found a nice place in my laptop bag

He felt like a sleep in it aswell

Aww! He looks just like my cat except she's a shorthair. Does he go limp when you pick him up? I've always heard ragdolls did that.

what is a ragdoll cat, exactly? I hear about them, but I don't understand

Yes they are suppose to be all floppy when you pick them up. He is sometimes, more times then not he isn't. He's more of an outdoors cat, but is allowed inside whenever he wants but prefers to stay outside around the yard. If you get him in a good spot he will sit with you for ages, My fiance she knows how to make him drool lol

True. Some cats are just like that, plus it depends on the person thats picking up the cat. If the cat knows its their owner or whatever they can be more floppy and more tolerant of being handled.

he is lovely, whenever i see a fluffy cat, i just want to smooth all their hair down and see how skinny they can look. does he try and type with you when you're on the computer? or does he just get in your way when you're trying to look at the moniter?

We actually got told by the breeder that he was a she and so we thought vanilla was a nice girls name. Well we were out of town and had "her" desexed. When the vet rang us up and said you know vanilla is actually a boy. Of course we still went thru with getting him desexed. We had thought about changing his name but he had already been called vanilla for a while so we didnt change it.

Tucan: He does get in the way a fair bit. I have to have my arm on his front legs and under his chin to move the mouse around. And typing i have to rest my arms on him abit. He doesnt care, as long as im giving him scratches or pats he doesnt care about me resting my arms on him

Vanilla has died today He had complications when he went into surgery to have his hair shaved for the summer.
