My Cat Caught A Bird What Shall I Do?

I am in favour of Cats domesticated or not hunting and killing wild animals, it comes as instinct to them.
If I know that my cat has attacked an animal and it is physically hurt and is suffering I'll finish the job, my cat is allowed out, and he spends about 18 hours a day outside, I'm all for him hunting and catching prey, it stimulates instinctive behaviour and motivates them, my cat especially could do with it as he is on the morbidly obese side.

truck you see my point though farm cats left to hunt for food etc is fine its when fat well fed cats kill species under threat and just maul them and doing the toileting in other peoples private land come on you have to admit that is wrong would you put up with dog muck in your garden i think not, not saying there is anything you can do about it as cats kill i know this if it was for food fair do's but just to kill and the go home for go cat its a tad wrong

regards fella

I am with Chester. There is nothing natural about domestic cats. They were domesticated and bred to look as we see them today then shipped all over the world to the dismay of the local NATIVE wildlife.

True but in that case there is nothing natural about the majority of the animals we keep as pets, fish included.

Exactly i completely agree and can see where your coming from but farm cats will still get fed by us and will still kill other animals and we can never stop them from toileting on private property and killing threatened species and cats, that dont work, dont think that cos they aint farm cats they have to stop killing animals etc Im not wanting to get into an argument just to point out the other side we can never stop cats from doing what they do the only way is making all cats "house cats".

well, either way the bird is definatly fine, opened the box to check on him and he flew out! good thing he was in the bathroom....just opened the window and the bird chirpd and was gone lol - thats my good deed for the day :)

Hi razer121 :)

Thanks for sharing your good news with us. I'm happy everything worked out for the best.

Since the original problem has been resolved, I'll close your thread now. :D
