It's what to spawn him with to be honest. I only have 5 females and they are all the common red/blue types that you get for a couple of pounds each at your lfs.

The reason i chose the red was because he looked the biggest and boldest...and i was pretty pleased with the results. I'm not into the genetics yet so i wouldn't have a clue what offspring i'd get with what.

If i can get a matching female, i'll have a go with him.

I'm just sad that no breeders invest much in getting gorgeous coloured VT's

maybe you could investigate getting the blue/yellow bettas i love so much, but in VT!!!!!!!!!

I love Vt's....probably a bit too much

I'm reletively new to keeping fighters (i hate the word "Bettas") seriously but i'm starting to get a few contacts. There's one or two people in the UK who import from Thailand so hopefully i might be able to get some of the real gems soon all be it by mail order.

If anyone knows of anyone who imports or sells decent quality half moons, super deltas or crowntails, i'd be most interested. Might even look into importing myself soon.

loads of people been asking lately.....it's not actually that expensive buying and shipping aquabid fish.....but Kevin at KG bettas, he is the transhipper for the aquabid fish, also breeds and sells, also check out KP bettas and modaz here on the forums is another one to ask.....I'm sure you'll be able to get a nice girl to suit the boy!!!

Must admit that i'm pretty shocked at everyones love of the "yellow" fighter. Of course he's a lovely fish but i nearly didn't get him in favour of another red veiltail. Only cost £3 too !!!
