My Blood Red Veiltail Female Swortail!

I came into my LFS (where I work) and found this platy. I asked where did it come from, and it came from a customer the yesterday. Im not sure If I should have it or not so opinions welcome.

Here she is:

She is huge!

So I bought her yaay!

I will keep this updated with breeding etc.

well what i always say is if you want it get it if you no you probley wont see one that size again i would get it , like i brought a 6"-7" chinese algy eatter hes the biggest one ive ever seen and have never seen anything close to his size so i would go for it if you wont see one again !!

You should buy this platy, never seen much finnage but then she is mostly likely swordtail aka Blood Red swordtail. If you don't want this fish, ship it to me!

Nice! By way this is not platy but you got a Veiltail Blood Red swordtail which is even more rare than Super Sailfin Blood Red Swordtail! Hopefully this female is pregnant.

It's a swordtail! How much do you reckon it's worth then? And how rare is it on a scale of 1 to 10?

Last time I saw a price on these Veil swordtails was over $60 and that's a group of six Veils. And they are still new to hobby so probably 3 on scale of 1 to 10. Heard Veil males have trouble to breed with females so normal finned male are required just like Lyretails.

This one is female I think. Bought it and It is floating in my tank now! They said just take it as there is no room in the shop for it.
