My Blood Parrot Photos

well i bought them this huge pot that they could sleep in but they wont go near it!! they would rather evict my pearlscale cichlid and bristlenoses from their homes!!

probably the only reason why my parrots sleep under the bridge is because that is the only place where there is no current
they would probably get blown all over the place by my powerhead
i think thats why my gourami sleeps and lets the current take him
seems like they dont really care

my parrots dont have names... i've had them for a year... i just call them... the big one.. and the small one...lol

walmart has terrible fish and its not really that cheap

actually i dont shop for my fish at walmart they totaly abuse the animals there and they usually die. but my friend wanted to save one of the bettas (really nice) before they did any more damage 2 him. right now he is still living fine is his 5 gal tank

lol thats like most of my fish, i just call them by there names like,

" oh the frontosa just went for the male severum! "

i think naming fish would be too hard because i have so many and im bad at names.

They are Called Porkchop and T-rex

its a pearlscale cichlid.....not a texas....and its male!!

They are more commonly called green texas cichlid(google it if you dont belive me).Female texas develop the black patch about halfway along the dorsal fin as yours has.

he is a cichlasoma carpinte / pearlscale cichlid!! (http/www.aquahobby.com/gallery/e_carpinte.php) hes a real beauty except when hes angry his back half goes black and his head goes like an electric blue colour and he goes round kicking ass!

pics of him in his angry face lol...

hes not really angry tho, he just gets a little territorial at times!!


oh and for those who asked where in uk i live... i live in Durham City (NE UK)

He looks like a jack dempsey cross because of the markings

I hanv't seen any since I got my blood parret but mine looks exactly like yours EXCEPT without the tail. Only the top and bottom fin. Anyone else seen these types of parret fish?

They call them loveheart parrots, the tail is cut off to make them look like that.
