I love this video it shows how my fish get along and how bossy my Uarus are. There is even a little lip locking that happens.

The stars are my 2 Uarus aka The Mafia , Nip the severum. Others fish you will see are my true parrot, 3 year old blue acara female, buffalo head, ebjd, and pictus cats. the biggest fish is the parrot at about 8".

For now the tank size is ok. I might rehome the parrot if I find the right home.

Great vid Snowflake ! THose uaru certainly boss the tank. "Mafia" is a very appropriate word for them !

Also really like the expanse of plant (plastic I assume) on the right of the tank. Havn't seen anything like it available around here. Obviously needing plastic plants for certain fish we are all rather limited in choice.

Thanks.

The Uarus get Crazy at feeding time. They look like they are being aggressive but they keep the peace. Unless they beat up on each other that's the only time I see a harm. The smaller Uaru will beat the junk out of the bigger one every few months. Besides that no one gets hurt.

I wish my tank was just a foot bigger I wish I could add an extension.

Really really great looking fish :) I can not believe how big Nip is now!! :D

Wills

Haha I know he is huge now and still my fav fish. Nice to see you back around Wills.

No that is a 3 year old female blue Acara. She is about 5". She had a mate but he passed away years ago. There is no orange on the tips of the tail fin. I am 100% sure it's a blue acara. Also the body shape of green terrors tend to be a thicker deeper fish. At 3 years old a green terror looks very different from a blue acara. It's when they are young it can be tricky to tell them about.

Nice to see you back around Wills.

Seems not all agree but thanks :D Just looking back at the pics those Uaru wow you have done such a good job with them :) And the Buffalo as well he was in such a state!! Im amazed at his size :)

Whatever some people are just weird. Yeah they all have grown a bit since I rescued them. Thanks. The Uarus are like totally news fish compared to what they were when I got them.

Never seen one with a hump, thats why i thought GT :)

What hump? maybe you are not use to seeing adult blue acaras.
Here is a photo I took of her a year ago.

maybe its the buffalo head with the hump? The uaru are proper little dons!! I thought they were supposed to be less aggressive. Very nice though, but I would always be worried about it kicking off big time!

Yeah maybe he was looking at the buffalo that's why I posted the photo.

These guys have been together for almost a year now and no major problems so far. Sure there have been a few fights but no one gets hurt. I find that with these guys and most kind of aggressive fish more is best. They have a pecking order and everyone knows their place. They could use a larger tank I think :shifty:

The only bad fight I was worried about was between the 2 uarus. They made up and are back to being friends. But the big one was looking pretty beat up for a few days. Yeah uarus are bossy not so much aggressive. I don't know if all Uarus are bossy jerks like mine.

LOL! The biggest Uaru does look to have a very badly damaged fin. Obviously doesn't effect him though. Are they a 'pair' or just two fish? And, sorry to say, but your EBJD is ugly. lol, sorry.

Well the uarus were rescues I picked them up from these ladies that no longer wanted the tank. They had bad HITH and much worst fins. His fins were so badly torn they will never be the same. They were weak and their personalities were different. They use to be shy and scared of every thing. The buffalo head had no tail and HITH when I got him. His mate was found dead and half eaten when I was fishing them out. They are my rescues that I was going to give up. I put too much time into healing them I can't let them go now.

Yes my ebjd is one ugly fish he gets worst with age. Very poor genetics. When he was young he looked good. Oh well I will never get a ebjd ever again.

I am not sure they are a pair they never have spawned. They do act like a pair. The smaller ones acts like a female and the big one seems to be male. Maybe if I set up a tank just for them they would spawn. they are an unconfirmed pair.
