When taking close ups of fish position the camera at least 20cm away from the tank so it can focus.

If your camera has a Macro mode switch it on as it provides much better close ups.

When using the flash angle the camera downwards to reduce glass reflection and flash glare.

i dont know about the macro setting...

but ill try to angle the camera down a bit...

and maybe back away a bit from the tank
