My Bettas(video)

Oh dear. By the looks of the tank, you aren't breeding at the moment. If you are, the current is far too strong for a male betta to build it's bubblenest and have fry in, or ideally. But females and males can not go together when not breeding! Take one or the other out ASAP! I don't know how long they've been in there, but it's a disaster waiting to happen. They didn't get the name Siamese Fighting Fish for nothing!

oh no thats not how i breed them. i have bread them before. i put the tank at half level with a film canister and a dixi cup for him to bild his nest around, when i breed them i have lots of live pants becuse there is no filter or bubbler running. he dsoe not even have a buble nest yet. i sucsessfuly bred them in may and i will breed them agen in the fall. then they will be to old. also i have been breeding bettas for 6 years i have been around the block and i no what iam doing now.

Bettas can be kept together. I used to have a pair of bettas, they lived together since I bought them, untill the male died. The female is dead now too. they grew old together and bred nearly everyday, usually eating what ever eggs they produced. They had 2 sucessful spawn. And they never fought.

That's an exception, not a rule, and it's certainly not something to try.

I defo wouldn't try keeping them together. 3 females and 1 male and they were fine until the male died and 1 female killed the other 2.
