The wonderful Mr. Yeeviabetta sent me some of his glorious babies and they arrived today. And since I don't plan things out very well, I found myself running out to Walmart to get them some new tanks. I remembered seeing that they had 5 gallon setups for $25 the other day when I was there and I was going to get 2 of them and divide them to make room for the 4 beautiful new fishies.
When I got there, the shelf the tanks were on the other day were all empty. I was sad for a minute thinking that I'd now have to get them each a 1 gallon or such. But as I was looking around, I found the 5 gallon setups on a new shelf .... for $15 each .. tank, hood, fluorescent light and filter!!!! I bought all FOUR that were left.
So now I'm going to divide them each in 2, get them all cycled up, and all my bettas will be moved up to 2.5 gallons of space in a nice cycled tank! I'm very excited ..... and as soon as I'm done, I'll have 5 1-gallon tanks left over just in case I run into any more that need rescued. What a good day for me.
