Well, I bought a tank off eBay - £10 for a Aquaone 126 with a few bits in it. It came with some horrible looking gravel (went straight in the bin lol), some of those fake plastic brightly coloured shells (which the kids have adopted into their random colelction of toys), a couple of real shells which I threw away cuz they were really sharp, and a couple of plastic plants.

So this is it just plonked on top of the stand:

These are the silk plants and heater I bought:

Then yesterday a friend brought me a 2 foot tank and all the gubbins he had lying around to go with it. This is the 2 tanks next to each other, the betta tank having been cleaned with the silk plants waiting in it, and the new tank EXTREEEEEEEEEMELY dirty!!

While cleaning that out I also cleaned a couple of seives full of gravel and put them in the bottom of the tank, then put the silk plants in along with a couple of terracotta pots I had waiting for a use, so here's what it looks like now:

Now all I need is a fish to put there and I'm sorted - the filter will be an air powered box filter which is currently sitting in my 240L keeping cycled.

No why is it all your pictures take forever to load? :)

Look forward to seeing the rest of this project :p :good:

Looking good.
Where did you get the plants. I bought a set of plants from my LFS and they are exactly the same.

The pictures take ages because they are huge and I cba to resize! :)

:p i waited 30 minutes for your pictures to load last night ( found summot to do while they loaded xD! )
Looks great and exciting to have two tanks at your command to go!!! Cant wait to see more!
I Think tis more trouble  ( i got a Rio 180 ) and still got my 60 litre! Imagen whats its like to have 36 tanks :) Now THATS something to command.

:p Will Watch over this thread.

You'll be pleased to know I have resized them now! And I got the plants off ebay - found a BN heater on offer for about £6 and the same seller had plant sets so I bought one of them too. They are much better quality than the last lot of silk plants I bought - those ones fell apart within about a month! I'm actually considering getting some more for the 2 footer too.

Shellies. That's going to take longer to set up though cuz need to source all the stuff (sand, rocks, shells etc) and fishless cycle it. And there's other more important fishy bits need buying first, like everything for my 3 footer so I can get my angels out of my 4 footer into their own tank!

Well - Nemo arrived this morning and has just gone into his new home about 15 minutes ago after a very gentle acclimation. Piccies will go up when he is more settled, but so far he seems happy enough so we'll see how he goes :)
