my betta setup

i have 10 gallon with plant and styrafoam.. not a cup yet.. but something like a cup..... i dont have a heater yet either... im wondering if a heater really matters that much... sale on for tank + everything for $40 so im considering investing.... should i ? will a heater make a difference?

IMO that would depend on wether you can keep your room temperature at acceptable levels for tropical fish to survive.

I would have a heater no matter what! They aren't that expensive.
