i was checking on my female betta and noticed something strange.. her body keeps turning sideways and she fights hard to swim right side up. She seems livley, not sick but i dunno.. What might be wrong? she doesn't look bloated or constipated. Any suggestions?

Probably swim bladder disorder. You should be able to find help in the pinned article in the emergencies section.

The only remedy is good water conditions. Sorry to have to say this, but you might have to euthanize if she doesn't gte better. :/

Give her a plant that she can rest on near the surface and try feeding her a pea as well -_-

Try feeding a food that will sink instead of him feeding off of the surface. It can sometimes occur if they are taking in too much air when they feed
(or so i have been told) so if it sinks it elliminates that risk.
It worked for me anyway.

When mine got sb not long after i brought my first betta my LFS suggested I feed promin, and it actually worked. It had gone in a few days and as it sinks, touch wood he hasn't had it since i have been using it.
Good luck and don't give up yet ;)
