My betta has ick!!!!!

So you get them from live plants? Thank goodness I don't have any. I've gotten myself into enough snail trouble!

k i did separate my betta and put her in a 1 gallon jar  well i had that or a 1/4 gallon tank so i took the jar! i put the quick cure in and Citrus seems to b doing just fine.....i didn't treat the whole tank because the power went out (forest fires...yes plural) i'm going 2 get aquarisol so my other fish don't get ick....right now they seem fine! thanks all

I'm with Anna here, best to treat the whole tank. Ich spores live in the gravel once the spots go (2nd stage) and reinfect any fish they can get to. Also ich only breaks out coz of stress (overcrowding, bullies - that kind of thing) and/or bad water conditions. Bettas are extremely hardy fish and for Citrus to get ich, something's wrong in the tank. If you haven't got testers, take a little of the water from the tank to your lfs and ask them to test it for you (doesn't normally cost anything). Treat the tank, correct the water and I'm sure everything will be ok.

k thank u that's the advice i got from the girl at my lfs too....i believe citrus was being annoyed by a cheeky platy.....i've only seen her flare her gills once and it was at this fish so thats my theory cuz all the other fish seem fine...i'll change 20% of the water tho 2nite before i put citrus back in (dumb mistake to take her out :X )

Yes you really should treat the whole tank. I have had an experience where one of my fish had...I took it out and cured it and because I didn't treat the whole tank other fish also got it. Therefore you should treat the whole tank. ;)
