My betta has a large bump on his head

If the tank was not cycled before you put your fish in, he was probably suffering from a buildup of ammonia and nitrites for the better part of a month or two, which might have caused this. pH is not nearly as important to monitor as your ammonia and nitrites, and nitrAtes need to be looked at as well.
I just took the ammonia test kit, and turns out it was too high. I just did a 25% water change and I'm planning on doing so for the next couple of days. Should I do something else?

wow, that is sad to look at. at this point, it's not really improving, and treating him may stress him out. I think if you made his life comfy and keep up with the water parameters he will live out his days as a happy guy. if his condition worsens to a great extent then there will be issues!! and does anyone know if amoxicillin can treat such a tumor? I've never tried/researched it.

I just recently noticed yesterday that he was swimming a little sideways too, I did a bit of research, and saw it could be swim bladder infection, but i'm not sure what caused it. One of the causes for it was a bacterial infection and try melafix, but it didn't seem to work when I tried it before for his bump. Does anyone know what I should do?

The fish is probably dying. Just keep the water clean, lower the water level a bit so he doesn't have to swim as much to get to the surface. If he stops eating or can't swim properly, then euthanise him.

There's no cure for swim bladder problems. Old or sick fish will sometimes roll over when it is near the end.
