ok no seriosely. Lets just throw this quote in it. "Rome wasn't built in a day" I think there would most def be conflict in the biggining of the introduction to the tank. But then they fight for ranks and what not. And it would seem logical that they form a dominance. People are forgeting that animals are excelant at adaptation. Exspecially bettas. I give props to him for trying this and would love to have one of my own. I think that this generation may have had alot of conflict for the pics but i imagine the fry being more docile toward eachother.\
I also see a problem in some of the members here. I am one to stir up contruversy and regularly get bashed by some of the members here. Its so funny how all of the ones that are being so rude and just using the excuse that its there so-called "opinion" are always bashing my posts. even before the pictures i might add. Yeah just some advice_ Open mined people don't stir up as much conflict as u guys and i suggest you post after you calm down.
And who ever sayed how can he be experamenting on live animals. LOL That is extremely funyy to me. I personally have seen much worst things when protesting for animal testing. Nothing can be worst than that.
Very cool that you made a betta community with only 3 deaths. Even got them to help eachother build bubble nest. My hat off to you.

Let this be a lesson to anyone who thinks that a Betta community tank, without cover and one that is overstocked is an experiment worth trying.

WWstar just because there is far warse going on, experimentation wise, doesn't make this acceptable.
Only 3 deaths so far. Look at the pictures again. Look at the state of some of them fish. They won't live much longer. What happens if any actually do have fry? The male is very protective of it's young. You think the others will be 'understanding'? Or do you think that male with attack any fish that gets too close? There's nowhere for them to hide or run to. It's hideous just to think about it.
I do not go around attacking anyone. Here or elsewhere. This would be the first time I've felt anger towards another member here, ever!
And if the next generation is more docile then you've only succeeded
in altering their natural traits. What keeps them alive in the wild.

It doesn't but it makes thes argument pity.\
3 deaths in 6 months doesn't sould to bad to me. And he said they did have fry already had there in a ten gallon. I would like him to explain any changes in behavior in the father during that though.
Oh your not one im talking about. I kinda made it general not its 3 members that for politness i will not name.
The betta he is breeding in the community tank doesn't live in the wild so i don't see how it will lose its natural traits. It lost those hundreds of years ago.

I'm sorry but....... this is getting a bit out of control.... we've ended up getting angry at one-another here and I don't think that's what this is all about. Everyone is allowed their own opinions but there is no need to make this personal. Don't go calling people arrogant or anything even remotely close to that. I think it's great that we have a debate going on here but it's not being done well. I for one think this is getting too personal...... stirring things up when people are already upset about the state of these animals, I don't think is not a very wise thing to do.
Would it please be possible for everyone to take a deep breath and remember that fighting with eachother is not helping anyone. It's just upsetting people.
Again I think it's great that everyone has different opions and there are some people that have differnet views to the majority that is what a forum is all about to some extent but things are getting a bit too personal.
No matter to what extent hurting animals is not acceptable and I do not think that fighting with oneanother is going to stop this.
