The aquascape looks nice so far, lots of potential. I love the wood, although my placement would have been different i.e. in a 'u' shape instead of 'n'.

Your bristlenose maybe eating your hygro. Is it well-fed on dry foods? Another possibility is pest snails.

Don't forget that plants need nutrients too. Too little nutrients can cause algae as well as too much. Are you dosing trace?

With 3.5wpg and good CO2 you're treading a fine path with a lean water column.

Hi George,

I meant it started off lean. I'm pretty much following the ADA way of dosing at the moment where for the first week or so its minimal dosing until the plants get rooted and start the uptake of nutrients. I've got about 4 days left on this then i'm going to either use my tried and trusted method of EI or i might have a go at the PPS Pro method. I'm undecided on this at the moment.

I had a look at the 'u' shape but couldnt get it looking right because of the way the wood is cut.

wat lighting system are you using to achieve 3.5wpg
wer did u find the jbl co2 system and it is good
how many bags of onyx seachem sand did u use.
