My Aquariums

nope pics are fine, nice main tank it looks very smart, so are you just having the smaller tank for breeding shrimps? I wouldn't know where to start for breeding them, I have heard its quite difficult :crazy:
Apparently breeding cherry shrimps is quite easy. Just make sure they have clean water and a stable environment and they'll do the rest.

Just noticed you're from Inverness! I'm originally from near Ullapool on the other coast.

Are they, sound I heard something about eggs floating in the water and being sucked up in the filter and stuff, but different shrimps no doubt will do it differently

way hey cool, yeah I live in inverness, but lived in Gairloch for longer (went to school there). I like Ullapool too (especially the road there lol).

I have quite a fine sponge filter in that tank, so I shouldnt have any problems with eggs disappearing. Even if they do get sucked into a sponge filter, they just get spat out again in one piece because there are no mechanical parts.

I've got some friends in Gairloch. I like the road to Ullapool too but the roads north of there are even more fun :good:

Do you have co2 setup ? fert ? laterite?

Your planted tank looks really good :good:

Thanks :good:

I dont have any C02 currently, although there is a hagen kit in there which isnt running yet.

I made my own substrate as per the following;

---- <-Gravel
---- <-Vermiculite/Floredepot mix
---- <-Laterite
---- <-Aquapeat

The substrate seems to work quite well, but although the vermiculite allows good nutrient transfer, it does tend to get churned up by fish and maintainence.
