My Apple Snail Looks Dead Help ?

yesterday me n my b/f wen n got a apple snail wen i looked it da tank at da shop all 3 apple snails was not moving in da bottom so we didnt think much of it n brought 1 n got home n added it 2 our tank wiv da other fish n since den its not moved or nothin 1 of our fish has bin kinda bumpin it n movin it around i wondered if dat would kill it or sum thing my dad sed he may take a while to come out n my b/f sed its probly dead has a joke :S so how can i tell if its dead n it wouldnt b funny as we just got him n i would probly hurt my b.f lol jokin but n e tips would b grateful but da snail is not out of its shell its almost fully in thanks alot liz x
 
from what I can decipher from that 'english'...

poke the snail on the fleshy part. If it moves, it's alive. Also, smell it. They REALLY smell when they die.
 
Sound like it's dead to me if it's not moved at all! As the above person said, poke the fleshy part and see if it moves and retracts further. If not it's dead so go back to the shop and they should give you another as you've not had it long. Do the same to that, before you leave the shop ie poke the fleshy part to make sure it's alive.
 
And take him out of the tank, as dead big snails can poison the water pretty quickly (build up of ammonia-nitrite). Put him in a bowl with water or another small container, put a lid on it as he might escape if he is still alive. If he is alive and no fish throwing him about anymore, he should come out.
