hi what is the plant you have on the wood ?

Anubias :good:
oh right i was looking for a south american rhizome plant as i wanted to do a south american tank for my apistogramma but all i could find was anubias which are all west african
sorry if this is bad news as it cant be a amazon biotape with anubias in there

yeah i sacked the biotape idea and just decided to get mostly rhizomes instead

any plans for stocking?
I started my 250L off with a similar idea "Amazon Biotope", I wasn't too strict with tributaries and such though, all the fish are amazons and the plants originally were, then got eaten :)

im going with apistogramma baenschi bleeding heart tetras and black widdow tetras possible silver dollars but not sure yet and possible hatchet fish for the top zone
sorry if i high jacked your post

cool cool, yeah I was actually asking Mr Discus lol :)
won't the Dollars end up dwarfing everything?
I think if I ever ended up keeping Dollars they'd have to either be in a massive tank with much larger fish or be the centrepiece themselves

A mixture of snails and an early algae bloom weakened them, then I got some Cabomba and the cichlids joined in eating it, I'm now trying Java Ferns, fingers crossed
spooky coincidence, I'm also from 'Uddersfield - Lindley, not there anymore though

Wow brilliant tank, very classy... looks very similar to my AquaStyle 980T only a bit bigger!
