Resurrecting the Passion of Fishkeeping
Hey all!!
I was out-of-my-mind bored the other day so I was playing around on craigslist....when I notice an add for "white water frogs with free tank!!!!". Immediately I rolled my eyes - obviously the person had no clue as to what kind of pet they had.
I contacted them and found out it was for two albino african clawed frogs - still fairly young...only about an inch long in body (not including the hindlegs)...and they were living in one of those little plastic betta bowls!! I would find it cruel to house a betta in there...never mind TWO frogs who could grow up to 6 inches each!!! The guy offered it oh-so-generously to me as if he was giving me the keys to a mansion! He said that if he hadn't found someone to take them he was just going to feed them to his friend's pet boa! And- oh AND - I find out that the frogs have been living off only fish flakes! It took all my strength not to lecture him about proper pet care.
So I adopted the now named "Kirby" and "Phoenix" (previously named Beevus and Butthead - oh god kill me!!)
They and my two other 1 inch juvenile ACFs are hanging out for the day in my 10 gallon while I re-arrange my tanks to give them my 35 gallon. Going to be a fun day!!!
"Spyro" is on the left and "Sonic" is on the right
Here are my two new adoptees!!!! **drumroll**
