WOW looks great mate really like it, get a half decent lighting unit and it will look brilliant, hopefully the plants will grow well and you will achieve the scape you've set out to get. Great start really like it. and agree with minnnt a nice shoal of embers would be fantastic, they are a great fish... I think alot of people think they are boring because of their size but they can be a fantastic colour and look great in a nice shoal... top work

I'd also give the hair grass a trip if your wishing for it to form a carpet... I trim mine about twice a week and it really does help

I have that unit on my jewel 60cm tank... really is a very good lighting unit, you will just need to make sure you are adding plant fertiliser, and dossing co2 and/or some form of carbon. good flow for carpeting plants is essential, so as long as they stay rooted it should be fine lol

cheers

is it yeast?
not sure it says:

JBL ProFlora bio80 and bio160 produce CO2 from an organic substrate by natural
means, using the activity of harmless microorganisms. The substrate has a buffer
system specially developed by JBL to ensure a practically constant production of
CO2 for about 40 or 80 days. JBL ProFlora bio80 and bio160 are simple and easy to
operate and do not require pressurised gas cylinders.

Yeast systems can work, especially in small tanks, but it can be a little unstable which can lead to algae issues. Probably worth a go though for £17!!!

Ok, think I will see how the ferts go first if it fails it shouldn't be too hard to rescape it to something ells it's only 60x30cm

Cheers

Now it's dark it looks dirty with the gravel/sand dust on the glass
Going to get small magnet cleaner from wilkinsons tomorrow there less than £2, with the new light the 180 rio and aquamode 300 I don't need the house Lights on lol....;)
