I've had my tank 5 months now. Still not completely set-up yet. I took a gamble on the Baolong. Tank seems great, cabinet is good effect although not close to juwel or rena. Still does the job. I have a big problem with the lighting system in their so I have ripped it out and fitted arcadia. To begin with this was a temporary set-up so as you can see no back-ground. It's still sitting in the cupboard and waiting for my laminet floor to be fitted so I can move the tank.

Got lots of fish housed in here and will add more pictures as I go along. Some fish are just over 3 years old now. The Pangasuis is 13 inches and is going to a 9ft TANK in Gloucester to live the rest of his days, giving the rest of my fish more room. I used to keep a 12 inch bala shark in my old tank who was 10 years old but passed away last year before I got this tank.

Anyway housed we have;
2 golden barbs (year old)
1 talking catfish (year old)
2 big common plecs (3 years + and 1 year)
2 albino plecs (that are moving to Gloucester)
1 monster Pangasuis (moving home, 3 years +)
5 big Kissing G's (3 years and 1 year olds)
3 Silver Sharks (less than a month)
4 Unknown stripped barbs I think (8 months is)
3 corys (2 years)
1 sucking loach (3 years +)
1 Sydnotis of some sort. (3 years +)
3 Flying Fox (2 years)
1 Bolivian Ram (2 years)
1 Black Widow (5 months)
3 Big Angels (3 years + and 2 years) I have a breeding pair and will get a tank for them. Had babies when I had them in their own tank.
4 Koi Angels (3 months and growing fast)

It doesn't look over crowded but there is alot of fish. Alot of the odd fish were given to me from friends. They all seem happy though. I have Onion plants in there and some anubias (I think) on some bogwood. My plecs and Kissing G's rip up most plants but the Onions are great and I have to trim them every month.

Dunno why the photo's are coming out so green! The livebearers are no longer in the tank.

What an odd mix of fish.

I know mate, some were given to me like the 4 koi angels, sucking loach, 2 albino plecs, black widow, golden barbs. Ah and I have a Red Tailed Black shark that someone given me. He's quite big.

Tank looks pretty cool with all the different kind of fish in it :good:
Does the pang ever snack on any of the small fish, mine occasionally did

the green may be because you have your camera set to auto white balance. change this to fluorescent. and try to exclude any natural light, house lights come to that.

Yes lots of different fish. I used to keep certain groups but ended up being given fish as people didn't want them or when they closed their tanks down. The Pangasuis is a complete softy, never lost a fish to him yet. He amazes me because he won't feed off the top were fish are hanging around. He doesn't like the big plec either because the plec sometimes pushes him out the way. I tend to feed the tank with flake and then add some floating sticks and the Pangasuis just about all of them. The Pangasuis is moving to Gloucester in a week or two, to live in a 9ft tank. I brought him not knowing how big he would grow 3 years ago.

The Kissing Gouramis are lovely. I've had them a long time and they seem very playful and also spar quite abit too. I have 2 big angels that have calmed down since they had a batch of young that went to the lfs and a few mates.

I have a few other tanks but had problems with the livebearers in them. I used to breed Siamese Fighters in a tank of their own too. I managed to bring up about 30 young and alot again went to mates and the lfs.

I'd love a clown loach tank and a breeding pair.

I'll try that with my camera but it is only a 4 mega pixel kodak camera. Probably have to wait till Christmas for a new one because I'm having the house done up.

I'm suprised that the Pagnasius hasn't eaten the smaller fish tbh

Nice fish though :good:

lol dont worry there, i have a cheepo (tesco) 6mp compact, all the pics i have on the forum are done with that. and those Kodaks were much better than their price indicated.

You know alot of people have said this to me. I admit when I brought him I had no idea what to expect apart from the guy in the fish shop said he will likely go belly up in the bag when you get him home and he did exactly that! He's the biggest softy in the tank, I suppose it must be either luck on the temperment of the fish or luck he hasn't swolled one by accident and got a taste for them. He's a cracking fish but I understand he needs a bigger tank. I was close to calling Chester Zoo because they have a lovely tank with arrowana's, plecs and clown loaches but a guy from Gloucester heard I was looking to re-home him and he's putting him in a 9ft tank full of big clown loaches.

I would warn people that these fish can be jumpy. I have a 2 year old girl and she used to jump around his tank and it sent him ballistic, normally resulting in him cutting himself. From what I have read, this is because their eye-sight isn't that great but their other senses are and vibration drives them nuts. She's really good around him now though and stands there talking to him and he loves the attention. If you go to one part of the tank, he'll come over and look and wag his tail like a puppy! It's a shame but at the rate he has been going he will out grow the 5ft and my girlfriend, son and daughter love him.

boboboy..
They seem good for the money but I'm not the best with taking photo's of fish. Will try what you said though.

Tank looks good, I am glad you have decided to re-home the ID shark! That shark is old, but there is a small chance he might get bigger in his 9ft environment!

Sorry mis-read post

I have took some time to take more photo's for people that are interested. The tank is far from being finished. Once the house in complete, the tank will be moved to it's proper place and have a background. Hope these pics don't bore you but I love looking at other peoples tanks and fish so this is for anyone like me. Love the Kissing G's together, it's a birth mark I think. Had it when I brought it. They were tiny and now they are 5-6 inches.

Added a few other pets. Got the gf's tortoise called "Tuck" SHE (found out it was a girl after we named her) is a Hermann tortoise and must be 1 and a half. I think she's 3-4 inches. The Snail is called "Sammy" it's huge and can live till it's TEN! Had a scare with it because I heard they had mites that could pass meningitus but thats in the states and africa from rat poo. Called RSPCA to check and looked on web. UK breed snails are safe. Wouldn't touch it for days.

Havn't quite mastered getting rid of the green but some don't look green now, so it's an improvement. I fell in love with the angel fish on the 3rd picture when I seen it in the shop on it's own, so I had to have it.
