My 4ft *update!*

Wow didn't realise that you could have so many fish in such a small tank. I thought a BGF need more room. Like a 75g or something. Because my neighbor has 2 in a 55g with a 9"-10" common pleco. Are any of the fish stunted with the limited space?

This is a temporary home for them, she wouldnt keep a BGK in a tank that small for life. Theres this thing people do when they get a fish small and grow it out in a smaller tank, for a bigger tank which they dont have at the moment. Since Mary doesnt have her jardini arowana in her 180 gallon tank, she could probably put the BGK in her 180! Mary have you ever thought of changing the gravel in that tank to a more natural... looking?

Sorry I never buy fish that are to small to go in a tank to live its life it. So I'm not used to reading about people putting the fish in a small tank to make it bigger for a bigger tank.

Rite durbkat...heres an update just for you. This thread is old and has been dug out from the dark ages. All my small fish have gone. Only the BGk, Albino birchir and plecs were left. All plants and decor have been removed.i have just got a 5" siamese tiger fish which is in there now. So at the minute there is only one pipe that the Bgk sleeps in. Here is the reason .....this 4ft will be getting moved into new house in 2 weeks....during the move all blue gravel which is in is getting replaced by sand and i will be adding a few long but not high pieces ov bog wood and that will be it . Dont even bring the fact ov stunting up here because if i cant give a fish a bigger more suitable tank then they get rehomed ! Recall a certain debate in your thread not so long ago about ur plec??? Remember??? Also NO non are stunted this makes me very very angry :grr: So now you know whats going on. Hopefully soon we will be getting a 5ft tank 2ft wide to match the 6ft to put all 4ft tankmates into and then start another project on 4ft.

Sorry. I thought this was a new thread. My bad. I also wasn't accusing you of stunting your fish I merely asked wouldn't they get stunted. And you know as well as I do that I really like my common pleco and I have gotten him a bigger place, it may have taken alittle while but I was able to do it. I've only known you a few months and didn't know if this was their permant home or not. So once again my bad
