My 25G S.W. Tank!

Looks great.... I so want to set up a SW tank but just a small one... I have to keep researching!

Ok, let's see if I got this right. What you are worried may be aiptasia are small feather dusters. Keep that s.g. between 1.023 and 1.026 and these will spread and keep the water column clean. Odds are you have tube worms in there too. Also good.

The one you ask if it is a coral is a bit hard to make out as the photo is lacking in perspective. Can't make out the relative size. I am 90% sure it is a sponge of some sort, so same advice as with the tubeworms/feather dusters. There is the odd chance it is some sort of bubble algae, which is bad but easily controlled with the aide of a mythix crab (emerald crab) which is good to have anyway.

Rats there was a third one there I can't remember now.

Oh yeah, not impossible that the trigger ate the snail. That could be the fate of any others you add and I am not sure now about the advice on the emerald crab.

As long as you have that fish, and it is a cool fish, corals will be out of the question.

Yay! Feather dusters! :D I was hoping they weren't aiptasia... I've heard so many bad things about them. :( I keep my specific gravity at exactly 1.024 and all water params are perfect. I have a ton of these worm things that are making tubes out of the live sand. (Tube worms?) The purple thing is a little bit smaller than a quarter and is roundish in shape. I think you are right about it being a sponge. There are also some white ones on another rock that look exactly like it, but bigger and rounder. I think there is some type of coral growing on top of one of the rocks. The trigger hasn't touched it yet... but we'll see! :) I'm 100% sure that the trigger ate the snail. Oh well, hope he enjoyed the snack!
