my 2 Buenos aero tetra keep laying eggs but none hatch

There are a lot of factors. Water hardness is a key one, as is how you are set up to handle the eggs. With more detailed info, you can get advice.

For the eggs to develop, you need soft, acid water. They may not be fertile if the water isn't appropriate for them. Temps should run in the mid 70s f. 80 is really hot for that fish.

If the eggs hatch, the fry need microscopic foods at the start.

Most tetra eggs are light sensitive and won't hatch if kept in bright conditions. Most tetras occur in black water (tannin stained) and that reduces the light that gets onto their eggs.

Normally when breeding tetras, you don't have a light on the tank, and you have the back and sides covered to stop light getting in. You also cover the front when you have removed the parents. The tank stays dark until the fry start swimming. then you remove the front cover and start feeding the babies.

Could be two females…

Whatever the results though, good try. Not many people breed tetras, assuming they can always be bought again. Tetra von Rio, also sold as the red, the fire, the flame, the rio and the orange tetra (It's Hyphessobrycon flammeus) is a great fish with a threatened status due to habitat destruction. If we had more people like you, trying to produce these fish rather than just consuming them, we'd be a better hobby.

You've got a cool project to work out there. These things rarely work out on the first try.
