Are they both females?
In general, no 2 bettas should ever be kept together - regardless of male/female combination.
 
sorry momma you didnt read my earlyer post.. :p im breeding and i just let her go cause his nest was huge and her egg tube was showing...
 
:p Its otay but yea she is hiding from him and he is still building his nest.. i dont want to destroy it :( but i dont want to lose her!

I found it very helpful with my breeding. If the female is not showing all of the signs i'd say she's not ready to breed just yet. maybe return her to her container and leave them another 24 hours? But yeah, its normal for them to chase each other for a little while before they spawn!! :D

I suggest you do some very quick research...
 
i read that article 300 times yesterday :( i sperated them... im going to just wait 2 weeks and condition them again and try :)
 
It may be worth trying again in 24 hours when the male has had time to build himself a nice nest! You have to expect some chasing and fin nipping :) It took my two about 2 hours of dancing and wiggling at each other before they decided to get on with it! :lol:
