Hi All,

This started to mutate a while back, about 2 weeks, but wanted to wait a while to get a decent picture so to tell what the BLEEP it is!!

2 Pics, the first the early stages which look like little green spots/zits, an the second, with the later stages, where it seems to be growing leaves . The later stages also develop browish 'roots'. (please excuse the poor detail on the 2nd pic, only just leaning photoshop 7! - any help apreciated!)

Thanks for your thoughts. It doesn't bother the fish - I think it looks kinda cool, like little 'Plant-Ears'!

Would be nice to know if this is normal, or needs ripping out quick sharp.

FF

PS - If anyone read my post on the naming of my third fish, and wondered what he ended up with - He is now called 'Nameless'.

Its a java fern, Microsorum pteropus, the little lumps are nodes that appear sometimes, roots will grow from them which will attach to rock and wood or the gravel eventually to produce new string of plants.

Just wait for the leafs and roots to get to a good size and you can take them off and replant them in the gravel leaving the rim zone above the surface, or attach them to wood or stones.

Simon.
