I know that a crayfish should not be placed in a tank with other fish as it will eat them but can I put say 2-3 crayfish in a 10g tank? I would obviously provide lots of cover and hiding spots but still not sure if it would work.

Could work, I had 2 in a 10gallon for about 3 months, then re-released them, just make sure there's enough food to go around :)

it depends as severum boy says. but 10 gallons is way too small for 1 Cray never mind 3. if they are an American species there is little or no chance of it working, however though if you can increase the tanks size and give each Crayfish at least 3 hides/caves, you may be able to do it. but in 10 gallons NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
