One of the best sites online
As for me,
My Axolotl (renamed Cloud, sorry guys
) lives quite happily alone in a 120 litre Aquarium, has a tetra tec ex 700 Filter,
So i dont have to worry much about filtration. The only downside is a needed to reduce the flow so it doesnt batter the animal.
But i easily managed to achieve that. Stear clear of gravel, and go for sand. As Gravel can quite easily be choked upon by accident.
When keeping these animals remember that they can be cannibalistic, especially when young. I've also found that Wild type variants seem to be more aggressive towards the man made variants. Although this rule can be dependant on individuals
As for feeding. Cloud gets i'd say a Big Cube of either Frozen: Blood worm, Artemia or mysis every other day.
Sometimes 4-5 hikari predator sinking pellets, and if i can find them, Big Juicy earth worms.
Temperature wise i manage to keep Cloud at around 18-19 Degree's. Though with the heat we've had this year its sometimes escilated to 23.
These animals prefer cold water not tropical temperatures as warm water only burns the animal (24'c + if i remember) but it also speeds up there metabolism.
Prelong exposure to those conditions can lead to pre-mature death.
I understand i had no time, yet explained most everything anyways
Check the website anyways its good!
