Tank size is different for different turtle species depending on turtle size differences! My turtle if male will maybe be 4 to 7" but if female would be between 8 and 10". They all require 10 gallons per inch of shell length! Mine is only 2" right now and sex cannot be determined until about 4". I guess this is when puberty hits!!Hes awesome.
Do you have any info such as minimum tank size etc? And could you please post a pic of his baskin area?
Thanks.

The only picture I have of his basking area is this one........

I can get a better one later. It is a turtle dock and floats on the water, but is suction cupped to the side. This way it adjusts with the water level. It is about 12" in length and 6" wide. I used to have river rocks piled on one side of the tank for a basking area but changed to the dock to provide more swimming area. Also, lots of people use large pieces of driftwood. You can just about use anything as long as it provides a place allowing the turtle to completely get out of the water.

They all seem to cope well, the guppies are breeding and so are the ghost shrimp. I have had eggs a few times, but not sure what they were from......the other fish ate them!
