I didnt leave 10g in my 29g. I was afraid of it bursting. Had small fish so I left them in the tank. As far as big fish, i would keep it covered after I had to catch a large Tinfoil barb that lept out of the 5g bucket. With his 55g, I put all the fish in a 5g bucket, emptied the tank so we could safely carry it down 1 flight and up 3 flights of stairs. It was a 30 min drive(much traffic on a nice Sat afternoon in Chicago). I dont think the cargo van we used had any shocks at all. After the move 1 rosey barb died. Not too bad. The best part of moving is going to sleep that night.
