Moving With Fish

what is the best way to go about moving 3 fish tanks and 12 fish 1 hour away?
i have 3 bettas, 3 platies, and 6 black neons. i have two 5.5, and a 10.
i am moving in two weeks. help!!!

well you could ask the lfs for some fish baggies...or even use tupper ware! im moving soon and i have it all planed out one tank at a time starting from largest to smallest

Sometime this year I've got to move 4 tanks and I've lost count of how many fish, 4hrs away! I am not looking forward to it. But have already got my eye on a few large, sealable barrels with handles on them at work. Thought I'd clean/dissinfect them, transfer each of the tanks contents to each barrel, incl. filters and heaters which can then run off the car lighter. Easy peasy, as long as the barrels don't fall over!
