I need to move a 60 litre tank onto a new stand. It is aquascaped with quite a lot of hardscape and well planted. Am I able to simply drain the water as low as possible, and lift it onto the new stand, or will the weight of the hardscape put too much pressure on the glass?

Am I going to have to take all the hardscape out before moving and then try to reassemble?

I would not risk it and when you have your doubts that is telling you something ..

Yes its going to be a messy pain but put time aside and play it safe .

It’s difficult to say without a pic of your tank to see how much hardscape you have in it.

But I guess your 60L tank is roughly 60cm long x 30cm wide, so is quite a short tank. I’m comfortable leaving sand, small rocks and drift wood in a 60cm, but of course it’s safest to remove all the heavy stuff.
