We moved house recently and decided to get someone to do it for us as I have MS and my hubby broke his hand... what a laugh! We ended up having to do tons as they misjudged the house and its contents and didn't allow enough time for packing, also didn't hire big enough vans. End result, we left our old house at 3.45pm and last thing unpacked from the van at 9.15pm. Everything in the wrong rooms, not labelled coreectly etc etc. Only just found our kettle last night, 11 days after we moved!
What is the point of this... I started to take my fish tank apart at 10.30am, read my fish were in bags from 11am, and they didn't get taken out of their bags until 8.30pm (cause the bleep had packed the furniture, including the tank, at the back of the van). One leaky bag (of course the one with the most expensive and the largest of the fish in it) which lost the majority of its water. Some very red scales along the lateral lines. BUT, I didn't lose a single fish... call it dumb luck or my ferverent praying to whatever the deity of fish is but I'm stoked.
Tank is now set up and they are being left for a few weeks to enjoy the space before I put them through any more stress of replanting, putting wood etc back in. I really just wanted them in their tank.
Q: Some of the fish, long finned calico bristlenoses are not getting their colour back, they were very brown with some orange, now they're a pale, very pale orange with some light beige. I'm assuming this is a sign of them still being stressed. Any suggestions on how to help them back to full health?
