Ok You Guys I Perhaps was not Specific Enough With me last Question(I'Ve Checked My Armpits & Def. no B.O.)The Pond In My New House Is Quite dirty & neglected but Holds fish ,frogs, etc.
What Is The Best thing To Do.should i drain it And Start from Fresh or should i add Something To the water,as a precaution? When I transport my fish(2x 8" Koi,8x6"Orfe &Approx 8 small fish)Do I try to get big plastic bags,or is a large container better?
Is There anything i Should add To The water,Whilst transporting the fish,I've got about a 50 mile road Journey.thanks in anticipation of some useful Tips-Alec s

I would limit what you do to the existing pond. If you have frogs and such, then there is pretty decent quality water. perhaps a pump or fountain to aid in water movement. You didn't mention how big the pond was, that you are headed to, but frequently they have created a very delicate balance, and adding 10 large messy fish can reap havoc on the system that is there. (don't know what the smaller fish are).

As for moving large fish, What I have done is get a few plastic trash cans, or tubs (those storage bins work well). I like to line them with a trash bag as well. keep all the water that they are currently in that you can. Do a quick test, so you have an idea of water stats if there is a large KH or PH difference, acclimate them over an afternoon or so. Personally I have never bothered with stress coat or other water additives, even with a couple hour travel time, but some people swear by them.

Depending on your tap water, I would look at adding circulation before I would do a major water change. A small floating solar powered fountain can work wonders on a stagnent pond.
