Hi,

I would like to check this before doing....

I have C.Panda fry, the oldest are about six weeks now. I intend to move them to the parents' tank.

Possible problem: the fry are in a shallow tray, water depth is about 2". The parents tank is 55g. Given that the fry never experienced higher water pressure, is it safe to move them right over, or it would be better to let them "acclimate" in something like a 10g first?

Thanks.

Good question, mikev. That is an unusually shallow depth. If you made the transfer please let us know how turned out. :D

I was just about to post a similar question.
I've got 4 c.paleatus fry that are about 3/4"-1" long now and wondering when to move them to the parents tank.
The tank they are in now is only about 4" deep whereas the parents tank is 72Gal - bit of a difference LOL
I think I'm going to increase the depth of water the fry are in to about 9" and see how they go for a while longer.
