Moving Cory catfish to another tank

You can slowly add drops of water over the 15-30 minutes with a Turkey baster.

Putting the container in the tank will help the temperature be the same, although the tanks should have the same temperature.
Ok great. Thanks so much

Do you have wood in one tank and not another? Something like driftwood will lower the pH a bit over time. I think other things can raise or lower pH in the tank as well so maybe it's something in one tank and not the other? Just a thought. (Sorry if someone addressed this in an earlier post but I don't think I saw that).

Experts tell us that it takes many days, if not weeks for fish to acclimate to a different water chemistry. So drip acclimation may make the fishkeeper feel better, but may not be any real value for the fish. After reviewing lots of information over many years I adopted the 'plop 'n drop' method where you acclimate for temperature only, then drop the fish into the new water.

I am with @AbbeysDad. As long as the temperature difference is not too big (say 2C or 4F) just net them and move them. Don't even need a bucket
