Movies You Shouldn't Watch Before Bed

Has anyone seen "The Strangers" yet, Looks quite impressing....

No movies have really scared me

Texas Chainsaw Massacre - The new one not the beginning but I think its one before that, had a few jumpy bits in it.

When I was about7/8 I watched Nightmare on Elmstreet nearlly pooped my pants

when I was 7/8 again i watched goosebumps one about a clown that freaked me propper good

I either watch scary movies during the day or have a comedy lined up to watch as soon as it's over.

Movies that still freak me out:

Silent Hill - not because it's scary, which it isn't to me, but because the night after I watched it, I was thinking about how Texas Chainsaw Massacre was scarier, and I ended up having a dream about Silent Hill where like five of my friends and family died.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I ended up watching half of this movie with my head under a blanket. My little sister, who's 9 years old, watched it with me, and now every time we go past a deserted road, she says, "It's like Texas Chainsaw Massacre dunanana!"

Hostel - I was totally cool with it `til they cut off that dude's fingers under the bathroom door. (Though when they spilt the back of that other guy's ankles, I thought about getting up and leaving.) I haven't watched Hostel 2.

The Exorcism Of Emily Rose - I only got to see the last ten minutes of this movie. It didn't freak me out, but what did, was what happend during the credits. I was watching the movie with my neighbors, sitting on the floor in front of their couch, next to their screen door. Right as the credits started rolling, someone knocked on the door. I freaked out. There was no one outside (believe me, I checked.)

Has anyone seen the movie Seven? I saw the last five minutes of it, and have wanted to watch it since then.

mmmm. movies you shouldn't watch before bed.....tough one.

I would say Barney (yes the purple dinosaur.)

Imagine being married to that guy inside the Barney suit, and your friend asks you what your husband does for a living.....what do you tell her?

These are all tried and tested scary movies, check the trailers

Not really a horror, it's an adult fantasy film [not THAT type of fantasy lol] but has air of creepy about it

Saw, Saw 2, 3 & 4 have to be seen if you haven't, really sick but human sick not monsters/zombies sick. I think human sick is the scariest kind of movie I can watch because it's so real. I just laugh in the face of zombies/clowns/monsters etc. cos they aren't real and aren't ever going to be real.

1408 is just like taking a trip. I sat and watched it intently and when I finished and I left the cinema, I turned to my hubby and just said 'what the F$%K was that' lol. Crazy silly mad film but not scary.

This is a good one too, very watchable and quietly chilling

The Hannibal Lectar movies are quite indecent too especially Hannibal Rising, again not typical horror but still nasty.

It's really stupid but very jumpy

Yeah, Think its a quality movie. Not a horror really more action/mystery with a gory twist :D

Absolutely quality and in my top 10. But yeah not really horror. And what a cast!

Loved it. It was a really well made movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

:good:

Yes mate, has to make my top 3, such a well made movie the subtitles didn't put me off in the slightest.

Is necroposting banned here? Because I've got a couple.

"The Ring" left me with nightmares for a full weekend when I was staying at my grandmother's a few years ago.
"Sleepaway Camp" towards the end with the mask of Angela and her gaping maw stuck with me for a while.

I'm not really a movie person. Video game glitches and anti-piracy screens are more like the kind of thing that keeps me up at night.

We once watched Wait Until Dark before bed. The movie itself is not scary, the plot, and the fact that it could totally happen in real life, is what‘s horrifying to me. Maybe it couldnt happen in real life, idk.

The only movie that actually terrified me was when I saw Sssssss (1973). I couldn't sleep alone for several nights after watching it. I had to sleep in the bed with Mom and Dad, and I was 20 years old. lol

Yeah I don’t watch horror movies, but sometimes just normal movies scare me lol
Same here, they are just weird, and I would rather sleep well than get scared. I guess people like getting scared because of the adrenaline rush? Not sure. :dunno:

Yeah. I think it doesn’t bother some people. I enjoy watching like exciting movies, even if they’re a little like scary, but I have never seen a horror movie that’s SUPPOSED to be like gruesome and terrifying and disgusting

Well, I watch a lot of action movies, and those are usually gruesome. I don’t mind the gruel, it’s more of the physiological thing that messes with me.
