Under the Frequently asked Questions bit it says that there are also mouthbrooding bettas, has anyone ever seen these or know where to buy them as Ive never seen them before?

there are various species of mouthbrooders. they sometimes appear on ebay and occasionlay in aquarium stores. i think the most commonly seen is "betta simplex" of which i have a pair and one my LFS's gets in every now and then.

They are lovely! Just Googled them and found out they are wild types and pretty rare. Just need to find me a pair now!

If you wanted the smaller wild mouthbrooding species you could also have Albimarginata, Channoides I've got both and they are lovely dark red species and only require a 2 footer.

I dont know where your location is but jobysbettas (wolverhampton area) has some breeding now, ready for pickup next month i think. Contact her, I do believe she can post them out to you also. I have had bettas from her before and she comes highly recomended from me. :good:
