i shipped over 3 big tiger/dats from singapore on friday sizes from 11-13inch i knew their was always a risk shipping tigers that size due to the depth of their bodys the largest having an 8inch deep body

when i opend the boxes one was DOA and another was floating upside down

so i opened the boxes and got to work trying to do the best i chould to save them

the 3 tiger was fine and looked like i had ytou picked it up from a local fish shop and is doing great and didint even lose any color

the larger one need a lot of work to bring it back to life i had to massarge it and keep it up right in the flow of water to bring it back around

after about 4hrs of hard work standing over the tank it seams to be doing a bit better now it has lost some skin off it dorsal spines and has turned total black due to the stress it also has a few nitrite burns on its head and body but their is hope now as he is hunting around looking for food

if they make it throw the week i think they should be ok as long as their is no inturnal damage

i put the daddy cambelli in a poly box for a few hours when i was trying to keep the sick one alive

i put him back in and their was harmony for a few hours then he took the thrown back as top tiger

he hasnt gone near the sick one its like he know its sick and is giving it time to recove before he shows it whos boss

both the new tigers make the cambelli look real small but the healthy one already knows not to mess with him

all i can say is i cant remember how we used to save fish without melafix

if you really loved them, you wouldn't be scraping their skin off with a great big knife (you'd let someone else do the cutting up )
