Hi i have just recently purchased a mixture of small rainbow fish that are in quarantine in my 30 litre hospital tank. I have noticed "what looks like a very small bit of flaky skin" at the end of a few fishes mouth, is this a start of mouth fungas or something like that? if so which medication is best?

Mardel makes Maroxy which is an anti-fungal here is the link to there website...

Mardel Maroxy

You could also use any API, or Jungle products that are anti-fungals... personally i recommend Maroxy.

Hope everything works out for you...

Mouth fungus would look fluffy and whitish around the mouth only. Is it grey at all and only around the mouth?

*Fishkies* it is white in colour and it is just below the bottom lip just like a tiny bit of flaky skin

Myxazin and pimafix.

Hi,
I have a dwarf rainbow fish with the same thing, are those meds safe to use with shrimps and snails?

Its always best to issolate inverts, its more the parasite meds with them.

just bought some pimafix couldnt find any of the other suggestions at my lfs, hope this works thanks for the help.
