Most Unappreciated Fish

I agree with goldfish, out of all the fish i've kept they were the most interesting lovely charactors, it a shame there under appreciated.

Halfbeaks, Dermogenys pusilla (spelling) They have pretty yellow and red on their fins, they are small and peaceful. I think there long lower beaks are so cool looking but i have a feeling they are just labeled "ugly" or "wierd looking"
Mine are spawning and are gonna give birth to plenty of healthy live babies (i told them if the babies were healthy they would get bloodworms everyday, hahaha, fingers crossed  ) So yea gonna have to go with halfbeaks.

already been said but for me it's probably rainbows

i also really love congo tetra's but you rarely see them in people's tanks

another one that's underappreciated (although they do have a following) is parrot fish. so many people don't like the look of them or the fact that they are hybrids but if you've ever own one you'll fall in love with them, fantastic personality really lovely fish (god I miss Polly sometimes :-( )

i took me a while to think of this. but i think plecos are really unappreciated. most people just by the one, so they can " clean the tank" and forget about them as they are in hidding most of the time. i'm rather attached to mine as he greet me everymoring ( ....well ....suck onto the front of the tank) and i always smile whenever i think of the wiggle he does when he go into overdrive with the cleaning.

Well, I'd say killifish win.
They are peaceful, active, don't get big and very colourful.

-_-

You've never visited the plec forum have you? :p

oh... i didn't realise there is so many pleco fans out there. they are cute in an ugly way, kind of reminds me of a minute ray. :)

I too love my plec - I don't see mine as ugly
He is a leopard sailfin

Mine likes to come out around 9 at night and when he gets on the glass there is a big shadow on the floor in front of the tank

Plecos for me too. Most people do tend to keep just one or two but they are such beautiful fish.
We have 16 altogether now and I wouldn't be without any of them!

i used to have one and called it hannabal, after i discover it was sucking on a corpse that died overnight.

It's been a while but my fish used to just dissapear - no bodies found which I fell is a good thing because if we go away and any die then the dead fish is not affecting the water

I'm partial to the Bristlenose group myself. I have 5 Albinos (2 male, 3 female) and just placed an order to get 3-5 L-182 Starlight Bristlenoses. I also have a Candystripe and am keen to get more. I'm planning to do a species only tank for breeding purposes in the future as well.
