Most Expensive Cory's Iv Seen!

I`ve seen Golds on eBay for £15 each, not too bad until you have to take the P&P into consideration, then the cost becomes ridiculous.

I would absolutely love to add some of the Golds to my other corys but can`r seem to find them anywhere at a decent, realistic price

If you ever come to london, Lisa, you can buy some Gold Stripes for £8.50 :hey:

Hmmm Thanks Carl, might just have to see if I can get Hubby to take a weekend break then, I really would love to get some of the Golds    ....not sure he`ll be too chuffed if it`s for Corys though  :look:

I knew I could find this post somewhere!

Well I went in to my LFS today. Saw some 'Big Blotch Corydoras Catfish' or 'Tail Spot Corydoras Catfish' (Corydoras caudimaculatus)

...£85... Each.

James.

In all seriousness though, £85? Who in their right mind would spend that on some Cory's? I know they are a pretty rare, but surely they are W/C as well?

i guess a cory fanatic might get some but for an lfs to try selling them to the every day public is a joke at that price. corys seem to be getting stupid price tags these days.
i was selling my gold and green stripe juvis for about £7 max at about an inch and a half and struggled to get rid of them as i wouldnt post any so most went to lfs near me for about £4-5. now i see then smaller than mine for £25-30 each, its a joke to be honest. find a breeder and get them from there its much cheaper. there was a guy on here selling them a while ago i think he was called mike and from wales  if anyone is interested.

I've noticed this. Even your regular's like Bronze are becoming overpriced.

I suppose it's a good way to make some money if thats your goal! :hey:

Today, I saw one of my local MA store selling Sterbai Corys- £20 each! :shout:

Shame. As a non keeper of Cory's but very much an admirer. It does sadden me to see them so expensive.

It's weird, as I wouldn't spend more than £6=7+ on a fish that needs to be in shoals. But i'm more than happy spending £16 and £18 on an L-number. And they were just cheap, i'd willingly pay more for a nice catfish.

I suppose corys must be the 'in thing' atm

I'm aiming to sell my juvi's albino's to lfs soon, even at a £1 each is better than 'donation' to some lfs,it'll pay for the food for a few months :)

I'd love some at the minute.

Im thinking of re-stocking my tank and making into a strictly south american tank. But I have a feeling im only going to end up with Bronze (which are great little fish I admit) for the money I want to spend. Pygmys are far too small.

James.
