What a beauty you must be really pleased with him!!

your fish is so cool!! did you pay lots for him? i know a fish like that would be about 100$ in my area. i like it, beautiful fish :)

Thanks bubbles12003
He cost €45, He was selling under the name Hypancistrus Zebra, L046 which he is not, they usually cost €100 - €150 depending on size. They look similar in some ways, the face area is similar but the stripe on the body area of L046 are always horizontal and in almost identical patterns on each fish.
L134 has very variable patterns, is more of an omnivore, where L046 is a carnivaore that really should have live foods.
For fish that look so similar, and given that its much easier to care for L134, I would highly recommend them!!

I got all this info from Planetcatfish.com

Thats a beautiful tank. ;) Are you using an additional special light to get that bluish tint in some areas?

Yeah, I'm using a Marine Blue Actinic in the front position and a Gro-lux at the back to give this nice twilight effect. Its more comfortable for the fish than being blasted by two white bulbs, yet the plants at the back get light and the fish get the shade beneath them. It also reduces algae on the front glass. Its one of the first things I do with any tank, change the cost saving bulbs they come with, it really makes a difference.
Also some tetras are light phobic, like neons and cardinals and may be more active in the more subdued area at the front, right where you want them!!

Heres a pic of the tank with the bulbs that came with it:
And below with the new bulbs so you can see the difference...
